I remember I found out [about Falcon getting the shield] the day we were shooting. I was like ‘Oh wow, this is the deal.’ But it makes sense. During an interview with MTV News, Anthony Mackie said that he has had his first fitting for his Captain America costume that he’ll be wearing in Falcon and Winter Soldier.

Daniel Bruhl posted two pictures of himself as Baron Zemo Falcon and Winter Soldier on his Instagram:

During an interview with MTV, Kevin Feige had this to say about the SDCC, “We debated what we should announce today, should we announce 4 and 5? We’ve planned them out, we’ve got five years down the road, and I was like, I think eleven projects in two years is plenty.”

Only ten projects were announced leading people to speculate that project eleven will be a currently unannounced Spider-Man 3. Marvel doesn’t have the right to announce Spider-Man projects only Sony can do that. With Spider-Man: Far From Home having just crossed a billion dollars at the worldwide box office, I wouldn’t be surprised if Sony announced sequel plans soon.

On the future of the Avengers and if there will be another Avengers movie: “Yes. And it will be a very different team from than we’ve seen before. That’s what Endgame was all about. It will be a very different incarnation of the team with some people you’ve already met and some people you haven’t met yet.”

In an interview with Variety, Kevin had this to say about the inclusion of the Fantastic Four in the MCU: “All of that is spoilers, but I’m extremely excited about those characters and about bringing Marvel’s first family up sort of to the platform and the level that they deserve.”

During an interview with Collider, he confirmed Valkyrie’s bisexuality saying,“Yes that’s the case, and will be the case not just with [Valkyrie] but with other characters in some of the movies we talked about today.”

He also confirmed LGBT representation in Eternals as well.

In an interview with IGN, he had this to say about the X-Men: “Whatever we do will be quite different than what’s been done before.”

Kevin on the bigger plan for Phase 4:“There is always a bigger vision, and it sort of only comes into view for others as it all solidifies. So ask me again at the end of 2021. But I will say, post-Endgame, we were always about the new. We were always about doing what we always tried to do in Phase One, Two and Three, which is do a film of a character you already know, like Black Widow, in a way that you don’t expect. We wanted to do our big ensemble like we did in Phase Two with Guardians, and that’s what Eternalsis. We want to bring in new characters like Shang-Chi, who’s awesome… New versions for Dr. Strange, Thor continuing to surprise and change and evolve.”

(No Source)

Kevin on what happened to get Natalie Portman back for Thor 4: “One of the ideas, and perhaps the biggest, was the idea of Jane. We set Natalie and Taika up and in one meeting she agreed to do it.”

(No Source)

GeeksWorldwide reported that Hulu’s Runaways season 3 will premiere on December 13th and will consist of 10 episodes.

Scarlett Johansson talked about the violence we can expect to see in Black Widow: “Oh, yeah. There’s a lot of fighting in this movie. Like, so much fighting. Much more fighting than I think has ever… I think other producers that come onto the set, they’re like, ‘There’s more fighting in this than any other Marvel movie we’ve ever made.’ It’s just brutal. I think because it’s based in reality, all the action is based in reality and it’s a lot of hand-to-hand combat. It’s painful.”

Her answer when asked if Hawkeye shows up in Black Widow: “That’s when you see the tranq gun come out. My lips are sealed. You got to wait and see.”

Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn has said that Thor 4 is set after Guardians 3.

Thor 4 will start filming in Australia in August 2020.

(source: smh.com.au)

Kat Dennings spoke with Comicbook.com about whether she would return as Darcy in Thor: Love and Thunder: “No one has talked to me and even if they had, I definitely couldn’t say anything about it. Oh my God, I am such a huge fan of his, What We Do in the Shadows, one my favorite movies ever. So it would be an honor to work with him, but I have no info. None.”

The NY Post reported that Stan Lee will have a street in NYC named after him. All that is left is for the mayor to sign on the dotted line to make it official.

In an interview with MTV, Danai Gurira had this to say about Okoye: “Literally, I have no information. That’s the beauty of our conversation right now: my brain is vacant. Oh, Mr. Coogler says, ‘tell ’em we’re working hard and you’re in it.’”

The Hollywood Reporter reported that Andy Serkis, Travis Knight, and Rupert Wyatt have all been in talks with Sony to direct Venom 2, and they want to start filming in November.

Black Widow

*************

1. Some footage was shown during the panel. Here’s a description of that footage once again from TotalFilm:

“Glimpses of Natasha’s past come flooding in the teaser, flashing through the her assassin academy memories from Avengers: Age of Ultron. “I made a family,” Natasha opines, as the footage leads into her turn in Captain America: Civil War, when she made a decision to let Captain America escape instead of capturing him. “They’re coming for you,” Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) warns, as she flees…setting the stage for Black Widow, which seemingly takes place after the events of Captain America: Civil War.

In Budapest, Natasha cautiously makes her way up an old, turn-of-the-century apartment building with a lavish staircase but weathered walls. Entering an apartment she points her gun and calls for Yelena, saying, “We’re grown-ups here.” Florence Pugh’s Yelena appears from around the corner, pointing her gun. They stand mere inches apart, guns in each other’s faces for several seconds before they both disarm each other, the camera showing their graceful parallel movements — obviously students of the same school. The grimy, tactile fight is reminiscent of the Bournefilms, especially in its low light and intense close-ups. Finding their usual tactics too well-matched, their fight gets nasty and brutal, with Natasha pushing Yelena’s head down a sink and Yelena breaking a plate over Natasha’s head, and eventually resorting to knives. They find themselves at several impasses, until both of them have placed each other in chokeholds with the apartment’s curtains. After a cut to black, they’re shown having drinks.

“It’s good to see you too,” Natasha says, handing Yelena a shot glass.

The teaser leads into several car chases, with Natasha weaving in and out of Eastern European streets. We get quick shots of solemn, Brutalist imagery and foreboding silhouettes.”I got rid of my ledger,” Natasha declares, though it seems like she hasn’t completely been rid of her past. The teaser closes out with Natasha getting pinned behind a flaming car on a bridge, with hooded man attacking her in the middle of the street. The hooded uniform and its sleek design with red lining resembles that of Taskmaster, a Marvel villain that has recently been rumored to appear in Black Widow. But who is under the suit?”

2. It’s directed by Cate Shortland.

3. The cast includes:

Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow.

David Harbour as Alexei aka The Red Guardian.

Florence Pugh as Yelena, “A sister figure to Natasha.”

O.T. Fagbenle as Mason, “an old contact of Natasha’s before she worked with SHIELD, and a potential love interest.”

Rachel Weisz as Melina, “a pretty tough chick,” aka Iron Maiden.

4. It will be released on May 1, 2020.

5. The film isn’t a prequel after all, but will take place after Civil War when Natasha is a “fully realized woman.”

With Young Avenger Kate Bishop by his side, he’s out to get some downtime from being one of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes…but when the apartment building he’s moved into, and the neighbors he’s befriended, are threatened by a tracksuit-wearing, dog-abusing gang of Eastern European mobsters who say “bro” an awful lot, Clint must stand up and defend his new adopted family…any way he can.”

Marvel News

Marvel President and producer Kevin Feige gave an interview to BET. The entire thing is well worth the read. He talks about Black Panther 2, the Netflix Marvel characters, Ironheart, and more.

You can read it here:

https://www.bet.com/celebrities/exclusives/kevin-feige-marvel-interview-spider-man.html

In an interview with Mashable, he said that the Disney + Marvel shows will do things that “shockingly and unexpectedly change those characters in big ways.” These changes will impact their next big screen MCU appearances.

Several Marvel  stars showed up at ACE Comic Con in Seattle. Here are a few interview bits from their panels.

Zoe Saldana: On the possibility of exploring “bad Gamora”: “It all depends. The technical answer is it all depends on what Marvel and James Gunn desire to do with the Guardians and with Gamora’s fate. I would eventually, there’s a part of me that wants her to go back, find her way back to the Guardians but there’s also a part of me that wants to explore a bad Gamora. I’ve never seen that and she’s, you know, she’s considered the most lethal assassin, the most lethal woman in the galaxy so I would want to see what that wrath looks like also because it would just give me layers to sort of work on. But yeah, I want her to get back to the Guardians.”

Josh Brolin on wanting to play Cable in the MCU: “Wait, Disney bought Fox?!” he joked. “I don’t know what’s going to happen. I’m actually, I’ve been calling them, like, ‘What’s the deal with Cable, man?’ Seriously, 100 percent serious. They’re figuring it out. It’s a big world now, it just got much, much bigger. So who knows?”

Chris Evans on whether the alternate timeline Steve lives with Peggy will be explored: “You know, I’m not sure I can give you those answers. That’s weak as shit, but ask the writers,” Evans said. “Look, I understand there’s a lot of things you can question about the time continuity but if there’s one thing I’ve learned about working with Marvel, they don’t leave stones unturned. They really don’t.”

(Whoa, Cap! Language!)

Deadline reported that some of the Avengers will show up at SDCC for a reunion: As an aside, Deadline is also hearing that some form of an Avengers reunion is in store down at SDCC. Some of the cast members could show up at the AGBO panel Friday, or at the Marvel panel on Saturday night. Consider it one last goodbye.”

SDCC has also released their Saturday schedule. Marvel’s panel will take place at 5:15 P.M. Pacific Time. They will have 90 minutes for their presentation. We will finally have information about what to expect for the beginning of Phase 4.

Sony producer Amy Pascal had this to say about the next Spider-Man MCU movie: “You know, I don’t think that we’re ready to tell anybody yet. But, yes, of course, there are so many stories that you can tell about Peter Parker and Spider-Man. I think the multi-verse and the Spider-Verse has opened up unlimited possibilities for us. I think that the great thing about what Stan [Lee] and Steve [Ditko] did, is that they are characters that can be reinterpreted. It’s 1962, it’s a long time for something to remain fresh, and yet it’s been able to. I think that’s because just like all of the artists who did all of the various spectacular, amazing, ultimate, everything has been able to reinterpret these kinds of classical characters. We’re able to do that, too.”

While promoting Spider-Man: Far From Home, Samuel L. Jackson had this to say about Nick Fury NOT being in the Black Widow movie: “It’s Natasha who was always been my favourite because I recruited her. So far, I’m not in her origin story movie [Laughs]. She’s the person I was closest to in that group.”
