In an interview with BuzzfeedBrasil, Kevin Feige says that Disney+ show What If? is 10 episodes long. Season 2 is already in progress.

While on Kevin Smith’s podcast Fatman Beyond, New Mutants comics artist Bill Sienkiewicz had this to say about the upcoming New Mutants film:

“Two days ago, I heard from Josh Boone, the director, and he sent me a new trailer. And they’ve been working on it, he’s been working on and everything, and it is phenomenal. I got chills. It looks like, because of the whole Disney-Fox, I don’t even want to call it a merger, takeover, whatever. But it’s got the blessings of Marvel. And it feels more Marvel in terms of what they’re doing, but also the horror elements of the film are in place. It’s really, absolutely stellar, just what I’ve seen.”

MCUCosmic speculates that this could be an unofficial way to introduce Mutants to the MCU.

Director Josh Boone has said that a trailer will be coming in January.

Murphy’s Multiverse has reported that Moon Knight will be filming next year at Pinewood Studios in the UK.

Preproduction on Loki has started! Tom Hiddleston shared this photo on his Instagram:

Here’s another RUMOUR courtesy of Murphy’s Multiverse. This time it’s about the production of Shang-Chi of the Legend of the Ten Rings. Production for part of the film may be taking place on in Malta, on the island Republic of Malta to be exact. The film was previously reported to be filming in Hong Kong and Vietnam. The scenes that take place in Hong Kong could potentially be moved Malta because of civic unrest in Hong Kong.

This is just a rumor and hasn’t been confirmed with a second source. Please take this information with a bit of salt!

Charles Murphy has revealed the RUMORED release date for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3:

Charles says this date is “old info” and may have already been changed, so take this info with a grain of salt!

Full Circle Cinema has reported the rumor that Daniel Radcliffe of Harry Potter fame is in the running for the role of Moon Knight. Dan in the MCU? This writer says, “Bring it!”

Welcome to Rumorville

This week will be a little different. Because of Thanksgiving not much was happening in Hollywood in terms of major announcements. However, there was some interesting rumors.

These rumors come from Murphy’s Multiverse, a site run by Charles Murphy. I consider him to be a reliable source and have used his info numerous times in the past.

It’s important to remember that these are RUMORS! Mr. Murphy has stated that he could NOT confirm these rumors with a second source. IF these rumors prove to be true, they would be HUGE spoilers for upcoming MCU installments. So if you hate spoilers, READ NO FURTHER!!!

“Kevin Feige just asked me last week if I had any more ideas or stories for the Hulk. And I said yeah, I think there’s still some stories to tell. And he said, ‘Well why don’t you come in and tell me about them and we’ll see if we can find a place for you in the Marvel universe?’”

Spidey Come Home and D23 Announcements

I’m not going to do headers this week because it’s all Marvel news. I’ve been away for health reasons so for the next few weeks I won’t be talking about other projects that our favorite actors are up to. When things calm down  again that part of the blog will return.

It was emotional for Spider-Man fans this week when it was revealed by various sources that Sony and Disney could not reach a deal when it came to Spider-Man continuing in the MCU. The Homecoming was short-lived and Tom Holland’s Spidey is out of the MCU for the time being. Fingers crossed that Sony and Disney can get their crap together and that everyone’s favorite web-slinger can stay home where he belongs.

Sony’s statement on the ordeal reads as follows:

“Much of today’s news about Spider-Man has mischaracterized recent discussions about Kevin Feige’s involvement in the franchise,” Sony said in a statement. “We are disappointed, but respect Disney’s decision not to have him continue as a lead producer of our next live action Spider-Man film. We hope this might change in the future, but understand that the many new responsibilities that Disney has given him – including all their newly added Marvel properties – do not allow time for him to work on IP they do not own,” the statement continued. “Kevin is terrific and we are grateful for his help and guidance and appreciate the path he has helped put us on, which we will continue.”

Tom Holland had this to say about Spider-Man’s future:

‘All I know is that I’m going to continue playing Spider-Man … The future for Spider-Man will be different, but it will be equally as awesome and amazing, and we’ll find new ways to make it even cooler’

Kevin Feige on Sony’s Spider-Man decision:

“It was a dream that I never thought would happen. It was never meant to last forever. We knew there was a finite amount of time that we’d be able to do this, and we told the story we wanted to tell, and I’ll always be thankful for that.”

D23 is well underway and a bunch of cool Marvel stuff was announced:

Three new Disney + shows were announced including:

Ms. Marvel which will be written and produced by Bisha K. Ali. (Source: The Hollywood Reporter)

Kevin Feige says that she will also appear in movies.

Moon Knight:

Black Panther 2 will be released in theaters on May 6, 2022.

0489307C-F15F-4F09-AEDD-A2C96EEE8D78.jpeg

Some new members of the Eternals cast were announced:

Gemma Chan will play Cersei.

Kit Harrington will play Dane Whitman AKA Black Knight.

Barry Keoghan will play Druig.

Some new cast members for WandaVision were announced:

Kathryn Hahn will play a “nosy neighbor.”

Randall Park will return as his Ant-Man and the Wasp character Jimmy Woo.

Kat Dennings is returning as her Thor character Darcy Lewis.

The show is being described as part classic sitcom (Yay! My favorite kind!) and part epic MCU adventure.

Falcon and Winter Soldier:

Wyatt Russell will be playing US Agent.

Emily VanCamp will return as Sharon Carter.

What If?

There will be one episode for each of the 23 movies that are currently out.

Almost the entire MCU cast will be lending their voices to the project.

Concepts for episodes include:

Steve Rogers in a suit the size of Iron Monger.

T’Challa as Star Lord.

Zombie Captain America.

Loki:

Kate Herron will be directing the series.

Questions to be answered:

Will the sun shine on Loki again?

Will Loki make a new friend? (Please be Verity Willis!)

Where did he go with the Tesseract?

The season seven trailer for Agents of Shield was released:

Contrary to recent reports, Taika Waititi HASN’T finished the Thor: Love and Thunder script. He tweeted saying that the title page is complete. You gotta start somewhere!

Avengers: Endgame will be available to stream on Disney + on December 11.

In an interview with uproxx, Martin Freeman said the last he heard Black Panther 2 will begin filming at the beginning of 2021.

DiscussingFilm reported that Matt is in talks to direct a six episode Marvel series for Disney+. There is no info on what series it could be.

That’s all for this week. Thanks f or reading!
