There wasn’t a lot of big newsworthy events this week, but as usual there was still some interesting bits and pieces.
According to MCU Cosmic, AMC Theaters are planning to have a 22-movie Marvel Marathon starting April 23rd leading up to Avengers: Endgame. You can find listings for the marathon on AMC’s website.
I unfortunately don’t know how many theaters are involved in this event. Check your local AMC site for listings in your area.

MCU Direct via Jeremy Conrad has reported that the review embargo for critics will be lifted on April 23rd at 3:00 PST. To avoid all spoilers of Avengers: Endgame, please stay offline.
Deadline reported that Runaways actor James Marsters has confirmed that Hulu has renewed the show for season three.

Avengers: Endgame will release in China on April 24th so beware of internet spoilers.
Deadline reported that Avengers: Endgame is long-tracking towards an 840 million dollar opening weekend.
Though nothing has been officially confirmed by Marvel, several theater chain workers have confirmed that Avengers: Endgame tickets will go on sale April 2nd at 8:00 A.M. EST.

Entertainment Weekly released a picture from season six of
Agents of Shield:
Agents of Shield season six will premiere on May 10th.
During the Agents of Shield panel, Jeph Loeb said that season seven isn’t being thought of as the final season. This makes this fan hopeful of more Shield to come.
@DanielRPK on Twitter has said that the next Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer will be released after Avengers: Endgame comes out because there are Endgame spoilers in the next trailer. Because of this, it won’t be shared here or on our Facebook page for a weeks to insure that no gets spoiled for Endgame.
Discussing Film reported that The Eternals will start filming in London on September 9th and wrap in January 2020.
The Hollywood Reporter reported that Angelina Jolie is in talks for a starring role in The Eternals. There’s no details on who she’ll be playing.
Marvel Comics is releasing a two-part Spider-Man: Far From Home Prelude comic. The first issue is available now and retells the story from Spider-Man: Homecoming.
Avengers: Endgame Promotion News
The Russo Brothers will be in India on April 1st to kick off the Avengers: Endgame press tour.
Chris Hemsworth and Paul Rudd will be on The Graham Norton Show on April 12th.
Brie Larson, Robert Downey Jr, and Jeremy Renner will be promoting Avengers: Endgame in South Korea on April 14-15th.
@gavinfeng97 on Twitter said that RDJ, Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Paul Rudd, the Russo Brothers, Kevin Feige will be in Shanghai, China on April 18th.
Non-Marvel Related Projects
Deadline reported that Madeleine McGraw (young Hope in Antman and the Wasp) will be playing Bonnie in Toy Story 4.
A trailer for Dora the Explorer: The Lost City of Gold, featuring Michael Peña as Dora’s dad, has been released.
Deadline reported that Taika Waititi has been cast in Ryan Reynold’s new movie Free Guy. There’s currently no word on who he’s playing.
Deadline reported that Michael B. Jordan will star and produce the Warner Brothers movie Methuselah. It’s a story based on the Biblical account of Methuselah, the oldest man to ever live. While Methuselah lived to be 969 years old, Michael’s character will be 400 years old.
The Hollywood Reporter reported that Benedict Cumberbatch has joined the cast of World War I drama 1917. The film starts production April 1st and will be released on Christmas Day, 2019.
Benedict has also been nominated for a TV-BAFTA Award nomination for lead actor for his role as the titular character in Patrick Melrose.
The Hollywood Reporter reported that Mckenna Grace (young Carol Danvers in Captain Marvel) has been cast as the lead in Jason Reitman’s Ghostbusters continuation/sequel. She’ll play Carrie Coon’s daughter and Finn Wolfhard’s sister.
A rumor has been shared by Deadline that Deathlok, a character seen in Agents of Shield, could be introduced in the MCU. This is just a rumor at this point. Nothing has been confirmed.
I liked the character in Agents of Shield and think it’d be cool to him in a movie. I wonder if J. August Richards would return or if Marvel would recast him.
MCU Cosmic has reported the rumor that the male lead in The Eternals will be an LGBT superhero named Hercules. Marvel is currently looking for an openly gay actor for the role. This news hasn’t been confirmed, but an announcement on who will be playing this character will be happening in the near future.
